ArrayBots SolarOps ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Arraybots. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application and related services for solar plant monitoring and management.
By using ArrayBots SolarOps you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account information — When you register or log in, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Role (e.g., admin, operator, viewer)
- Organisation name
Solar plant data — The App displays data you or your organisation has configured, including plant names, device identifiers, generation readings, inverter parameters, weather sensor values, and MPPT metrics. This data is stored on servers you connect to.
Usage data — We may collect anonymised, aggregated information about how you interact with the App (screens visited, feature usage) to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included in this data.
Device information — Operating system version, device model, and app version may be logged for crash reporting and technical support purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and provide access to your organisation's solar data
- To display real-time and historical generation, device, weather, and meter readings
- To send push notifications about plant alerts or system events (only if enabled)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve App reliability and performance
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your account credentials are transmitted over HTTPS and never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens are stored securely using the device's encrypted storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore via Expo SecureStore).
Solar plant data is hosted on servers operated by or on behalf of your organisation. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and access controls at rest.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below. Plant telemetry data retention periods are determined by your organisation's configuration.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may connect to the following third-party services:
- Expo (EAS) – build and update delivery; see expo.dev/privacy
- Apple / Google Push Notification Services – for in-app alerts
These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.
6. Children's Privacy
ArrayBots SolarOps is intended for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
